I have a 357 blackhawk that was my fathers. The frame has turned a purplish color, it is a flat top. serial#11xx so it was made in 1955, I believe. The only wear on the bluing is on the sides of the barrel at the very ends from holster wear. I was told by a gun dealer that is at 95% on the bluing. It has NOT been up graded to the transfer bar safety as I want to keep it original. Can some please tell me it might be worth?

    Thanks, gcrmcc

I've seen flattops for sale, in 90%, for 800 to a thousand dollars. Ain't sayin' they got sold for that much, but I've seen those kinds of asking prices.

I hear that purple color is a big, "Oooh, I want that" among Ruger collectors. So that would be a plus.
