Got a real nice reply to a question I'd asked Brenneke about which shell would be best for my 590 for deer and hog. They recommend the 2 3/4" Green Lightning, and sent the following data. Thought I'd pass it along for those interested.

Any time I hunt where it's shotgun only, Brenneke are my go to slugs. They get the job done.

that's good stuff and I'm a Brenneke fan using the Classic Magnum mostly but all their slugs are worth the money IMHO

I was impressed with the data they sent and the reply generally. I've never hunted deer, etc. with a shottie, just birds, so figured I'd try it out this year. Now to find some before next season. None that I've found locally so far, and all the usual on-line places are out of stock.
