Well, there are several factors involved such as sights and whatnot's, but a quick and dirty answer is, A FN Grade III in 98 percent 2,625, in 95 percent 1,650 That is percentage in terms of remaining finish. My Blue book is two years old and I'm too cheap to buy a new one, so add 10 percent for inflation. That is the retail price you would pay if you walked in a gun store, not what you would receive if you sold it to a gun store. The store has to pay insurance, rent, hired help and feed momma and the kiddies so they would only offer 60 to 70 percent of perceived value. If I'm off on this, someone please jump in. Really, really need pictures because your excellent may be someone else's good.

A sight " unseen " value will always be a low ball. The dealer really has no ideal if you are accurate in your personal condition appraisal or not. It's somewhat like going down to the local car dealer and asking " what is my 30 year old Ford worth, it is in new condition and only the back seat was used.:D
