I'm going to start reloading .303 for my 1905 ross rifle and I'm a little confused with the different bullet diameters used for this caliber. I did some research and most people say to get .310" to .312" diameter bullets, and that's what is says in my hornady reloading book too, but I took the calipers to some factory bullets (Prvi Partizan 150g SP, and Remington core lokt 180g SP) and they were .308" diameter for the Prvi and .303" for the Remingtons. So I'm wondering, is there going to be a change in accuracy with the bigger diameter bullets since they'll fit tighter in the barrel? Because right now, shooting mainly the Prvi's, the gun doesn't seem to be all that accurate, it's kinda all over a 12" target at 100 yards. Of course there's a good chance it's just me flinching cause the steel butt plate on this gun is a little rough, but theoretically speaking will it be more accurate with the bigger bullets?
