Hi guys, I have another quick question about 380 reloads and this is probably a dumb question but every reloading book etc. use a .355 bullet but I see .355 and .356 for sale for 380 and .356 bullets for 380 and 9mm. A .356 bullet will be ok to use correct? I assumed it would be but being brand new to reloading I want to ask you guys. Thanks for putting up with a noob.,lol

For jacketed bullets, I use .355 for the 9mm (I don't load jacketed .380). For lead bullets, I use .356 for both .380 and 9mm.

You'll be fine with .356. Just start at a starting load and work up, keeping an eye out for signs of over pressure. As always.

Yup, you'll find that the cast lead bullets for most every caliber are usually 0.001-0.002" larger than the jacketed bullets.

I use 0.356" diameter cast lead.
