I bet it was local kids. Even if they caught them they wouldn't do much.

Sounds like kids to me? I have been burglarized a couple of times. Last one, ten years ago was a Home Invasion Burglary at 2:00 AM. I hate sneaks and burglar's in particular!

Maybe indigent folks passing through or more likely teenagers.
Wife has a elderly cousin lives in another state from you bot is on farm by herself. A few weeks ago she heard first bunch vehicles going past then alot lights moving around, loud music and etc. way down past far barn way out way space. She called a neighbor and relative they went down check. Was bunch teenagers having party but they got keys to gates from one of their father's since he worked power company they needed keys to cross the land incase of problems/disaters kind of such instead of cutting fences.
They had talk with teenagers and one with the keys father. So far they not been back.

I hate thieves to,I had my car broken into at work and they tore it apart. They got my prescription tinted driving glasses that I paid $300 for and I only had them a couple of weeks.I still haven't replaced them.I watched them on the work security camera. His buddy had the other waiting car doors open as some guy with a Mohawk did the dirty deed.I hope he wore my glasses and it caused his eyes to go cross-eyed.Most thieves are leftys because they don't work or have morals.
Sorry to hear the news of your break-in.

db, this is close to you so I'll share. Neighboring land owners live close to Novice. They have had issues and their son who has a trailer on their land just up the road from us has had issues. Guy name Kincaid in Novice has stolen from them and been caught and they suspect he is the guy on our theft. Said he had some snake boots for sale. Shared this with the deputy and I opted not to go confront the guy. I don't tolerate thievery and I don't want to go to prison.
