Nope sold out. They have it back in stock again! limit one box per customer/day.
I remember watching a How Its Made type show where CCI showed how they made .22LRs. 4,000,000 rounds every 24 hours. They distribute across the globe, supplying every major chain store across nations, every small local sporting goods store, they explained that isn't very much and are trying to boost efficiency to increase those numbersNope sold out.
Face it, this is likely the new norm.
Our massive, oppressive, authoritarian government does not want us to have guns.
This is not an accident. In a free market, the shelves don't stay bare for months and months at a time. This is on purpose.
That's 1 company.I remember watching a How Its Made type show where CCI showed how they made .22LRs. 4,000,000 rounds every 24 hours. Definitely got a point. With all of the new, up and coming firearm manufacturers out, even basic machine shops now getting CNCs specifically for making AR lowers (or at least 80%) you'd think there would also be tons of new ammunition manufacturers too. Of course everyone wants to hoards thousands and thousands of rounds, but still there is a lot of money to be made, whether people want to pay nearly $1 per round of .223 or $50 for 500 rounds of .22lr. Ammo cannot be found. Gun ranges are empty. Last time out shooting I was so stingee with my rounds even though my buddies wanted to keep shooting... it's sad. That's 1 company.
Look up how much rimfire Federal produces in a day.
Something's going on, with this type of demand, somebody would take a chance and supply it.
I get that ammo companies don't want to make huge capital investments to solve short term problems, but this is reaching the point where short term doesn't fit anymore.
Either something nefarious is going on, or the ammo companies see the writing on the wall...they're product is soon to be outlawed.
Can you bring some here please?Other than .22, the rest of the calibers I regularly buy have been easy to find lately.
Yes, I check gunbot. No, I don't want ammunition buying to have to be my religion in order to buy it. What I see on gunbot is some ammunition for sale at absolutely insane prices. Occasionally I see some at inflated, but not insane pricing. It lasts about 10 minutes.Do you shop online? Follow gunbot. Plenty of ammo to be found online if you watch sites like gunbot religiously. This week alone I picked up .223 for .30 a round and 9mm for .36.
I think it now has to be obvious there is more to this then hoarders.Yes, I check gunbot. No, I don't want ammunition buying to have to be my religion in order to buy it. Around here you cannot walk into a store (Cabela's/WM/Dicks) and find any on the shelf unless you got a tip from an insider that clued you in to the 10 boxes they got in, and you got there 4 hours early to line up outside.
As you put it, if I'm religious about checking websites all day every day I can find some, at a price that isn't too bad.
IMHO, a legal product with this type of long term demand should not be this difficult to obtain. The fact that it is tells me there's more to the story.
