    striving for perfection. thank you
on paper from the start. only have 7 brass, and i have been messing with BP. a little slower going. if you make it to Tenn in Sept. you can play with it a little.
this gun and the Gustaf have keep me excited for a long time.

Wow! I have never seen a rear mount like that. It looks as if you could have 1/8 minute adjustments. Would love to play with that one for a couple months. Any chance of an extended vacation to Missouri?

At this point that's a big "if". Just now the UK doesn't want people flying in from the US. The government here has classed the US a "red zone" because of the COVID flare-ups in various states (thanks a lot, BLM protests) and anyone coming in from the US is subjected to a two week quarantine.

I'll keep my ear to the ground.

    Glad it shoots well. Enjoy.

i would like to, but no.
why do you not just get one of your own? this thing is no more money than other glass. and a lot less than a lot of it. and it just looks NEAT. they have a shorter one that may be right for the Gustaf. call talk to Scott. tell him i sent you.

No vassago, it's not the M/S cartridge. I did have to go back and read some of the thread to remember where we are. It's a straight tapered, rimmed case.

Rick, Trail Boss is your friend. Accurate 5744 would probably be a good choice as well and I THINK Accurate has a formula on their web site. A fella could also start with about 10 grs. of Unique and an open cell foam or dacron filler. I expect some digging around and extrapolating would produce some Reloder 7 loads that are safe and worth trying. IMR's 3031 and 4198 might bear looking at as well.

And there's always good ol' black powder.

i liked the black powder. the clean up was not bad. i would like the do some smokeless just do not want to over load the old girl. so... do not know what is safe to start with.
i have played with grits [can't find cow] filler. the little i have tried SEAMS to clean the barrel. have anyone found this also? i have found that filler needs a lighter powder charge. only used filler in .250 and 30-06 no compression and got a bigger bang. i read that 38-55 data can be used, the problem is 38-55 data is for a heaver bullet. will look at Accurate and try the unique. i see you like and must use it a lot. thank you, hard to beat experience.
experience recommendation is better than "i think" recommendation any day.

I have used corn meal as filler, in some Cowboy revolver loads. Gives a nice, Lil puff of smoke.
A couple of guys, that didn't know what I loading, were talkinking about getting hungry, " keep smelling cornbread ".
