I'm new to this forum site. I'm asking for a bit of help in identifying a firearm discovered in an estate. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

You have an Secret Service Special top break revolver made by Meridian Arms. They were manufacturer for the Fred Biffar Co., in Chicago in the early 1900's. It should be considered a black powder frame which means its not safe for modern smokeless ammunition. It will be chambered in .32 S&W or .38 S&W.
