Looks like the governor signed it in today. I guess it is still up to the church, but at least it is a step in the right direction. Of course, I carried anyway, if I had one on me, but now I'm legal. Nobody in our church ever would have cared anyway.

It is a shame that it has gotten to where people have to carry a weapon in the House Of God these days but the sad truth is your not even safe there with all the nut cases running around

Yes sir - it's a shame.

But the truth of the matter is those churches that take a firm stand for the Lord are marked by the enemy of men's souls.

Being a Pastor these days is a very dangerous job because we live in such a corrupt world. Unfortunately many innocent lambs get involved with wolves. I'm not sure why good people are drawn to bad people for mates. Fortunately Pastors are there to help those lambs put their lives back together after making huge mistakes and that makes them targets of the wolf's anger and rage.

The darkness hates the light...And hates Pastors that do or say the right things.

it has been legal here since CCW has been around in Texas

it is up to the church to post a sign if they don't want it

Our pastor had me get a small team of guys who carry together and make some basic emergency plans

while the worship service is going on, one of us is out front on point

This is America. Responsible people who know how to use weapons for the good of the people have a responsibility to do so. In the House of God, in the Schools - everywhere. Our country became Free by fighting for Freedom. By people being willing to give up their lives for the Freedom of others should they die themselves doing so.

Freedom has a cost, and sadly, far too often the cost has to be paid with lives.

America is the last bastion and the first bastion of Freedom. What we are seeing now is a horrendous degeneration of Freedom. The rest of the world does not want our Freedom to succeed because it undermines their socialist policies. Part of this degeneration is the lazy attitude we as a country have taken regarding illegal immigration. We should have secured the southern border long ago. We still must do so, but now it a case of closing the barn door after the horses have already left. Now we have to round up the horses too.

It is paramount now that government gets reduced to doing what they are supposed to do. For way too long now we have been the police force of the world with our military.

To protect our country, we do NOT need a standing army of the size we have now. A serious analysis needs to be done as to what we need to defend our country with contingency plans in place should we need to ramp up our forces. We have the people, we have the commitment and we have the industry.

The 'freebie' handouts MUST stop. Yes, we should help those in serious need. Most people getting food stamps do NOT NEED them.

Free cell phones! That's a joke at best. Let's look at this in more detail with the current system with the Affordable Health Care Act. You get a free phone so you can call 911. You are having a heart attack and you are 82 years old. So, you call 911 with your free phone, an ambulance comes and takes you to the local hospital, you need heart bypass surgery to give you potentially 10 more years of life. OOPS- Obozo care says no. so you die. Guess that free phone worked out well.

It is time to get intelligent people in the government who are committed to working for the people. There are some VERY stupid people now in the House - like the dumbocrat woman who asked NASA if the Pathfinder got a picture of the American flag that Neil Armstrong put on Mars.

The only way to fix stupid is to kick it out and let those stupid people die.

I like this idea. It's a shame it's needed but you and your church are to be commended for protecting the church. Awesome :)

Also very well said WHSmithIV :)
