If you're looking for a good read, check out the Joe Pickett series by CJ Box. Joe is a fictional game warden who patrols the Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming. CJ Box writes some incredibly intense stories that keeps you page turning. It also gives you some pretty accurate insight as to what game wardens deal with.

Didn't know it was illegal to pick up a shed antler and sell it unless it's on someone elses property and you did it without permission. Anything is possible on public land though I suppose.

Thanks Joe. Learn something new every day.

Shed hunting in PA can be done anytime. From the CJ Box book, it appears like there is a certain season, and the culprits were doing some "pre-season" shed hunting, by running some elk from the pasture into dense forest to make them drop antlers prematurely, by forcing the elk to collide with low hanging branches.

Speaking of elk running through the forest, I’m amazed at how adeptly the big bulls can maneuver their massive antlers through tight spaces - and when they want to, how stealthy they are when doing it. They are impressive in many ways!
