Cleaning bronze bore brushes

    How do I clean brushes like these bronze bore brushes?

    I have never tried to clean them, when mine get unserviceable, I toss them and buy some new ones.

    These are almost too far gone but they are leaving the powder residue on my hands before cleaning my shotgun.

    Chunk them in the trash. New ones cost less than three bucks each!

    I clean mine in hoppe's #9. You can also use brake clean.

    I thought about using Dawn dishsoap to help cut the oil.
