I am completely missing it. I see nothing in the lower that would make the magazine not removable. The only thing that I see is what looks like a pin of some sort is in the magazine. I could see that from allowing the follower to ot move down the magazine. Bt its location looks lime it would still allow more than 10 rounds. Sorry about my ignorance but we don't have that problem here.

    Pictures always help explain-
Picture 1 inside mag show the back pin of the rivit. This shows no more then 10 rounds can be feed into the magazine.
Picture 2 shows other side of Rivit on outside of mag.
Picture 3 shows JBweld covering the hex wrench slot to undo the magazine lock. 20170310_114905.jpg 20170310_115018.jpg 20170310_115050.jpg Sorry for confusion hope this helps.

Next I hope to make the forward grip purple, then it will be perfect.

Now I get it. The pin that I am seeing in the mag is the other end of the rivet. And I was thinking i was a 30 round mag, but that appears to be a 20 in the last set of pictures.

In the first set of pics the mag was not set in all the way, just hanging out because I had much more to do before I could get it all locked it.
Here she is with everything in back together, I never knew this build would take so long... or that it would never seem done. At least it has been a learning experience and lots of fun! Not to expensive and now I have a customish 5.56 so yah! And none of the guys at the range will ever mistake it for there own.;)

Oh, I see now that you've already colored the lettering and logo.

That front handguard really needs to be purple.

On it! Had paint mixed this morning at a local hardwear store that can mix paint and put it into a spray can.
Here is the primer. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Eeeeepppp!

It came out a little light, but this gun was just a fun project from start to finnish, still might try to make the forward gaurd a little darker.

I was wondering if you would have to get a new handguard. I didn't know that the paint would take the dye. Learn something new every day.

Hmm.. I like the light purple. Maybe the other parts should have been lighter. :)

The magazine (that started sand color) was dyed with RIT dye. The forward was just primed and spray painted.

Excellent! The part that was the most critical to the proper and safe operation was dyed, and the parts that didn't matter so much got painted. Very smart.
