Colt 45 and M1A1 Carbine

I'm looking for prelim. info on the following. I'll can get photos whenever I get my scanner up and running.

[NOTE: Being new to firearms, please excuse if my descriptions are lacking in correct terminolgy.]

1. Colt 45 1911 with holster
>> Colt: SN No 457306
>> Holster Markings:
front flap: US [in oval circle]
bak: U.S.
GRATON & KNIGHT CO.
1943
2. M1A1 Paratrooper Carbine
>> Barrel markings: INLAND MFG. DIV.
GENERAL MOTORS
4 - 43
>> SN [under sight] 226111

>> P inside circle embossed on back of stock

Whatever y'all can tell me about the above appreciated.

If in very good condition, you have some valuable arms there. The Colt could be a $1,000 pistol, and the carbine three times or more, as much. IF they are original and unaltered in very good condition. Please when you can post pictures of them. Then we can give you a more accurate value. Best regards, Kirk

You have some valuable guns GT.

Your 1911 was made in 1918.

Your M1A1 was made in April 1943.


I would have these firearms appraised, do the same for the holster also.
