Colt AR-15 serial # mine starts with GS, its not listed???

Hello I am trying to research a new purchase.
I bought a Colt AR-15 A-2 the ser. # is GS00xxxx.
I dont see this series anywhere, whats up with this gun?? It is an older style based on what I have read.
It does not have the raised ridges on the right side of the mag well , it has no hinge pin detent.
Is this a pre-ban as it was sold ?????????

The GS series should be c.1990.

Of course, you could always call Colt.

Does it have the bayonet lug and flash hider?

Sounds to me like a Govt. Sporter!

GS slabside is the forerunner of the A2 6550 model.
Which barrel,BL?
Large front pin I assume?
AS far as I know,all slabsides are preban but you can never rule out anything with Colt.
