I started with a post seeking advice on how to sell my 1911 Colt .45, and it was suggested that I post over here to get some expert opinions on what the pistol is worth.

It's a Colt Gold Cup National Match, .45 cal, Series 80 MK IV.

Your gun shows about average wear for a used gun of this age. The Gold Cup usually sells in the 1000 dollar range give or take 200 depending on how bad the buyer wants it.
