hi Mako1s and welcome to the TFF!!

welllll... hang out at a range or gun shop and ask someone that works there. the range i go to in the not quite big city of sandy eggo has competitions almost every week. there's cowboy action, 22 target, and 45 target. i think the 45 stuff is IPSC or something... involves having it holstered and timed shooting ???

i just go there to punch holes in paper during the week. =) =)

look at IPSC's site for your nearest affiliated club. Doesn't cost much, read up on the rules and safety protocols.
    It's quite enjoyable.
Shot a couple seasons with my near-stock Series80, did fairly well, met some good people, had a great time.

    Hi mako1s......welcome to TFF.

What type of competition interests you?

If there are any gun clubs, or gun ranges in your area, give 'em a call and ask for info about any pistol leagues and competitions in the area. They probably have a telephone number for a contact person.....then just call and ask how to get involved.

Also, gun dealers are a good source of information. Some have bulletin boards listing competitions....and many times, gunshop employees and owners are competetive shooters and/or sponsors of competitions. I'm sure they'd be glad to help.
