IMG_0982.JPG my first revolver was a Heritage Rough Rider. It had all the class and style of your average dollar store hand grenade. I got rid of it rather fast.

Now I have something a bit more serving of pride. J. P. Sauer and Sohn Western Marshall 44 Mag.

So far I ran 3 cylinders through it and love it. The first shot surprised me, the trigger is rather light and crisp. I'm using loads I made up for my Henry Golden Boy, they are a bit light for a rifle but nice in a pistol. The recoil is significant yet manageable, rising to about 45°. Accuracy is fair, maybe better nice I really start working with it. All I did was get a feel for it. Soon I will run it out beyond 25, hopefully get decent groups at 100 yards so I can possibly use it for deer.

Anyway, here is my first entry into ownership of a real revolver

The finish is questionable. I wonder if Goofy can make it a good compliment to my Win94? IMG_0984.JPG IMG_0985.JPG

I like it. I can't tell from the pics about the finish. Looks good to me. Leave it and enjoy. That way you will not worry about that first scratch when you take it hunting.

Why you gotta mess with everything? Leave it alone, it looks great.

Could you send me the pick that has the twisty end that goes with that set, I broke mine.

That is a good looking gun. I don't see a thing wrong with the finish other than a tiny bit of wear.

And a little wear is patina. Patina is good.

Unless you just want a safe queen.

Very nice. Finally some pictures. :) Single action 44 mags are a blast to shoot. A box of ammo last a long time as you can't shoot 50 in a row much. I generally shoot 6 or 12 at the most and put it away.
