Counting the days...

To December 2nd when theoretically my Kentucky long rifle (flintlock) should arrive.

Can't wait to get it. Of course then I'll need to buy ball, powder and all the other stuff but it'll be a good thing I believe. Haven't been into blackpowder for many a year and while I don't regret giving up my percussion rifle I find i miss the smoke and the wonderful smell when you light one off.

I too love some of the old guns. If I recall right when he was selling it he said it was 55" long. We'll know hopefully by next Monday when it is due to arrive.

Got the flask for it yesterday - very beautiful.
