That sounds a little like the American Indian way, or at least what my first D-I-L said. Both my grandson and granddaughter have their mother's maiden name as one of their middle names.

    Brandon Douglas Littlecook Moody
    Alexis Gail Littlecook Moody

Guess what her maiden name was?

Congratulations! My wife and I were wanting kids. Then I accepted a youth pastor job and now have a dozen 11-16 year olds. I guess we skipped over the baby and little one phase. :O

Women are more fertile just after birth. May be why I have three that are each about a year apart from the previous.

Well F&F, Good Morning to you and yours....You've picked up a definite following for I am #16
who have declared liking what you've writ for us...I enjoyed what you had to say from the
12 year old worrying about a continual feed of PB&J to how heartily Mom would 'chow-down'
on most everything in sight... I, or we, had 4 birthings in 5 years, 2 of each gender...the last, a daughter was 3 days old when I departed for a years tour of duty on Okinawa....In that
absence of 'touchy-feely', we spoke of having enough children ....no more, and being so firm
and positive with that decision, I visited this old Japanese doctor on Okinawa....oh hell no,
he didn't use his Samari sword hanging there on the bulkhead, but it was very skillful and
professional...Six weeks later the Corpsman did a test and from then it was 'shooting blanks'!
Of course then I was only 30 years old....Chief

Its neat to have names with a history or tradition. My fiancee and I have a few names picked out for when we have kids. They all have meaning of some sort.
