Got a quick question for someone familiar with the EAA Witness or other CZ75 clones.
Here's a picture of some brass fired through a (new to me, but used) 9mm Witness.
You can see a skid mark from the firing pin on about 75% of the brass from this pistol. This particular bunch is Winchester White Box 115gr but American Eagle 124gr FMJ does the same thing.
I haven't run any reloads through this pistol yet, but I'll suspect they will do the same.
Does this look like the pistol is unlocking early? That's my initial diagnosis.
I'm thinking possibly a weak recoil spring. What else might I look for?
