I have a Predator earth auger that, while at idle, keeps the auger bit rotating and this is clearly a safety issue.
Anyone know how to fix this problem without taking it in to someone to work on??

Lowering the idle speed should do it.

Every earth auger that I've used did that too. Real slow, but the auger did turn.

Now that you mention it, the two times that I've used one, the auger did spin slowly at idle.

It is only a safety issue if you stick your arm or hand in the turning auger.

    Thanks folks.
I have no clue how to lower the idle speed but now that others have has the same issue and that the rotation is at a slow speed maybe I don't have the big problem I thought I did.
Keeping hands, arms and toes clear of the auger == Important safety tips!!
    Thanks again
