For one I used to have that knife and it was an awesome knife. As far as the bidders it is amazing that they continue to bid when they can buy it now cheaper.

I have seen this at auctions. Somebody has a pallet of hair dryers, or what ever, and the idiots keep bidding the price up! After the first bid, if everyone had kept their mouths shut, they could have had a hair dryer for $1, instead of $10. I left before that bunch of stupid people did something that I might have to shoot them for!

carver, while that may be true, a lot of times you have to have bid before you get a chance at whatever is being auctioned after the winner takes however much they want. But, yeah, people are stupid at auctions and just like bidding I guess.

I look for WW-2 USMC knives in poor condition for my projects. I'm amazed that they often auction for higher bids than ones in good condition go for. My top price for a useable blade is $40. And 9 out of 10 I see go higher.
