I am working a deal with someone who is doing some work for me and who also wants to start shooting/reloading 40SW. So I plan to trade some components and dies for work performed. I have gotten rid of the two 40 pistols I had and don't plan to reload anything other than 9mm and 45 ACP.

What I have:

1,200 once fire brass
500 bullets; half are 180 grain FP, half are 155 gr FP..plated Rainier.
Dillon 3 die set plus a RCBS expander die
Redding bulge buster die

Maybe $200??

That is an extreme fair price for that stuff. 1200 pieces of .40 brass by itself is probably worth $80-90 (looking at brass prices online) and the bullets are worth about $60 and then you have the dies. Yeah, that's fair.

im no expert at pricing but to give you an idea i paid $75 for 500 .357(new) and 23.99 for a box of 100 .357 158g HP.

I would say its a fair and decent price if not a hell of a deal.

I paid $120 recently at auction for 4,000 pieces of once fired brass. ...granted, some are glocked cases, but 40S&W is plentifull and does not command big $.

Most new 3 die sets are around $50; Dillon is higher - around $75 new.

Lead cast bullets can be had for under $45 per 500 new.

To me, $200 for your stash seems on the high side.
