I recently ran across a WC LW commander, and didnt like the factory grips.

I tried some ebony grips I had in a parts box, and they were not quite right.

I bought a set of vz' s and they felt ok, but I didnt like the way they looked.

I finally found a set to go with my carry rig...

I have always loved stag, but never had the right pistol for them. The local shop had a pair I was pondering, but they didn't have enough bark on them for my taste. I got to chatting with a regular and got these for a steal of a deal, and I put the bug in his ear to make me a set for my New Agent.

They improved the feel of the pistol as well.

I normally don't like stag grips. But I do have to say that those grips do look good on that pistol.

I have a set made of buffalo horn somewhere. I took them off and put them away a few years ago. When Carl (Woodnut) saw them one year at the Georgia BBQ, he told me that one side had been cut wrong (I can't remember if it was with or against the grain) and could break at any moment.

Not just any pair will do, I waited for years to have the right pistol and grip combination.

I also think they look great on an otherwise unmolested GI model.

There is a downside to the new grips...

I have a Kydex paddle holster for quick off/on, and the pistol is way too classy for Kydex now....

Very nice. I like the way they fade into a smooth surface on either side.
