My dad called me and asked if I'd like a No.1 Mk. III dated 1916.

I said sure. I picked it up tonite.

The band around the right wrist has the following markings:
    A crown
    LSA CoLD (?)
    1916
    SHT. LE
    III

    Right receiver has-
    A crown type marking
    ENGLAND (export stamp, right?)
    M
    96557

    Left receiver-
    crown
    GR
    crossed flags (?)
    crown
    X
    1384

    Left wrist band-
    crown
    some numbers
    ZZ
    E
    crown
    38

    safety-
    III
    rear of mag-
    B
some other stuff I can't make out
on the lower rear the number 4

    Any help?
    What should I look for?
Bore cleaned out nicely, strong rifling and good shine.
Stock is dinged, but pretty solid. One surface crack on rear handguard (doesn't go all the way through)
Stock disc missing & filled with a wood plug.
    About 70% of original finish.
No cut off, but no * either.
    Any info would be appreciated.
    Thanks.
