Since I started reloading in 1971 I have never had this happen. Has anyone else? No big deal just a hiccup in the reloading. Since it’s a range pickup I’ll scrap it.

Yes, I had some range brass that most did that. Very big pain. I think they were 45 ACP with lpp.

Yeah, I had that happen several years ago with a piece of range pick up brass. I agree with soundguy I think they sat in the weather too long.

Yup agree with everyone else. I live off of range brass. If it is yellow it’s mine brown stays on the ground.

This one was brown. What’s in the grass/soil to make them turn brown? Brass corrosion is usually green.

Probably the type of alloy blended with the brass.
