I am trying to value a flintlock rifle made by A.Schweitzer who is from the Lancaster,PA area around 1825. the name is engraved in script on the top of the barrel. I est caliber at .36. the gun is in excellent condition.
I need to sell this gun as I am downsizing . my father an avid henry derringer collector owned this gun for about 40 years before gifting it to me. I am not a collector. From the pictures I have seen of other Kentucky-style flintlocks this one is way above average. To me the most important value is the one I can sell it to a dealer or via an auction house.
Thank you for any assistance. I will try to answer any questions, but will be out of town from 1/22-2/5.
santa fe, nm
