They're just trying to get warm. They'll leave you alone as long as you're not carrying any meat in your pockets:p:p

But seriously, I grew up in FL and never had a problem with the alligators. But I'm from NORTH Florida, outside Jacksonville. Well, there was a gator filled creek less than a quarter mile from my house, and as a Boy Scout my troop spent an entire weekend camping in a swamp with the gators occasionally coming to the edge of the campsite.

Jus' th' same, I'd ratha not be walkin' or ridin' within "striking range" of those rep-tiles! Anything with that many teeth showing (politicians included) should be given wide berth!

Aren't you supposed to run away in a zigzag pattern? They're fast, but they can't change directions as fast as we can!

The bigger the smile, the sharper the knife.

Meh, the mosquitoes are more of a problem down there than the alligators. It's not like the mosquitoes in NC that mostly travel singly or a couple three at a time. The mosquitoes in FL travel in squadrons like dive bombers:eek:

Man, now I'm starting to get homesick :( :p

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!!!! You CANNOT find fried gator tail ANYWHERE in NC, not even in the seafood places on the coast:eek::eek: I definately miss all the great seafood from FL.

bcj, you are right. Can't get it in Ar. Most places tend to overcook the fried aligator anyway.
