    AP declared Obama "Kenyan-Born"

What most people know is that the Associated Press (AP) is one of the largest, internationally recognized, syndicated news services. What most people don't know that is in 2004, the AP was a "birther" news organization.

How so? Because in a syndicated report, published Sunday, June 27, 2004, by the Kenyan Standard Times and which was, as of this report, available at

The AP reporter stated the following:

Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.

This report explains the context of the oft cited debate, between Obama and Keyes in the following Fall, in which Keyes faulted Obama for not being a "natural born citizen" and in which Obama, by his quick retort, "So what? I am running for Illinois Senator, not the presidency", self-admitted that he was not eligible for the office. Seeing that an AP reporter is too professional to submit a story which was not based on confirmed sources (ostensibly the Obama campaign in this case), the inference seems inescapable: Obama himself was putting out in 2004, that he was born in Kenya.

The difficulty in finding this gem of a story is hampered by Google, which is running flak for Obama: because if you search for "Kenyan-born US Senate" you wont find it, but if you search for the phrase without quotes you will find links which talk about it.

For those who believe what they see, here is the screen capture of the page from the Kenyan Sunday Standard, electronic edition, of June 27, 2004 — Just in case thatt page is scrubbed from the Web Archive:

Readers should take note that this AP story, was syndicated world-wide, so you should be able to find it in major newspapers, archived in libraries world-wide. If any reader does this, please let The Post & Email know, so that we can publish a follow up-story. You can scrub the net, but scrubbing libraries world-wide is not so easy.

Hanen of Sentinel Blog Radio broke the public news of the existence of this AP story at on October 14, 2009 at 12:31 pm. However, The Post & Email can confirm that a professional investigator had uncovered this story months ago and that certified and authenticated copies of this report, meeting Federal Rules of evidence, have already been prepared and archived at many locations nationwide. It should be noted that on January 8, 2006, the Honolulu Advertiser also reported that Barack Hussein Obama was born outside the United States. (they also retracted this article in the paper on Jan. 15 -- shows that ) A Chronology of Deceit One can now ask an important question which has not yet been emphasized enough: "Just when did Obama begin to publically claim he was born in Hawaii?" This question is distinct from the question, "Just where in fact was Obama born?" and from the other question, "What do official documents say about where he was born?"

Regarding his claims, we can summarize what is known:

    1. As of Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, Obama's Campaign was putting out that he was born in Hawaii. This is known from the introductory speech given by Prof. George A. O. Magoha, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nairobi, on the occasion of a speech given there by Senator Obama that day. (One presumes that the Vice-Chancellor was given notes from the Obama campaign, as is customary on such occasions)

    2. From the newspaper reports above, it is clear that the Obama campaign was putting out that he was born in Kenya, or overseas, during the period of June 27, 2004, until January 8, 2006.

    3. In October of 2004, during the ABC Chicago Affiliate's broadcast of the Obama-Keyes debates, Obama openly admitted — he conceded â— that he was not a natural born citizen. (C-Span aired the uncut version of the debates, which contained this exchange, in the second half of April, 2005)

    4. It is known from a classmate of Obama at Harvard University, that while at Harvard, Obama at least on one occasion admitted that he was born in Kenya. (This friend went on record on a call in radio program in Idaho in early July, 2009)

If any reader can find a link which documents a claim to a birth location before Aug. 28th, 2006, which differs from this timeline or which supports it; please let The Post & Email know of it, by posting it in the comment section below.

In a follow up report, The Post & Email has published a brief analysis of the Google Newspaper archive, which shows that Obama's story changed after June 27, 2004.

Finally, that the AP did cover this story, reprinted by the East African Standard, can be seen from the citation made to AP stories about it (Jack Ryan dropping out of the race), in the following contemporary news articles, which however are incomplete:

    June 25, 2004 —,2933,123716,00.html

    June 26, 2004 — Bellview News Democrat

June 26, 2004 — AP Online Story by Michael Tarm

June 25, 2004 — AP Syndicated Story by Maura Kelly Lannan

(Second Source on June 26, 2009, which cites Associated Press Special Correspondent David Espo and reporter Dennis Conrad as contributors to this report)

(Third Source, The Ledger, print edition of June 26, 2009: partial republication)

I can't believe that the Democrats would go to such an extent as to nominate someone born outside the U.S. They could not afford to make such a mistake. It would be easy to prove or disprove. Obama was probably checked up, down, inside and out. A conspiracy such as foreign birth could not last this long. We may not like the Liberals but they are not stupid. Now becoming a citizen of another country such as Indonesia is another matter.
    Just my opinion.

Yep. +1000. I have seen this article floating around for months now. The first time I saw it, I thought.....OK, someone got creative and 'published' this after the fact.

And there was no probably about it. He was checked out up, down, inside and out. Not only by the Dems but by the Reps. Eager to derail any campaign in the face of defeat, this would have come to light many, many months ago by the opposition alone. If there was a case post-election, it would have been seen and ruled upon by now.

The guy has a birth certificate. It has been deemed authentic. He is a natural born citizen. It's OK to believe otherwise, but he has proof. He submitted it.

So if you want him out of office, I would suggest traveling other avenues. Elections are coming up this year. Use them. 2012 is not that far away. Start campaigning for your candidate.

And I look at it from this point of view as well.....if it isn't him, it's going to be Biden. There are not going to be any re-elections. I would rather have Obama in office than Biden six days of the week and twice on Sunday. If it wasn't either one, it would go to.....Pelosi? I am pretty sure of that. Speaker of the House is next? Again. I would rather have Obama in there.

    The mountains of NE TN.
I googled the crap out of this last night, and found several references, but nothing that I would consider "substantial." I have no idea where osama was born, or what his citizenship status was or is. I do know that he is there now, and this is but one avenue for ousting him. We need to keep digging for information on all avenues of approach.

    PharmrJohn should have said,
There, I fixed it for you.

How many lawsuits demanding Obomba birth certificate have got swept under the rug? Hundreds; maybe thousands? And yet, how many times did Obomba deliver on those questions raised in the suits? ZERO

I don't know where he was born, but from the lawsuits that I have read he should answer the questions unless of course he really does have something to hide.

EDIT: Sorry about that John, it wasn't meant as an insult.

But still, he was not checked out. Those law suits were filed before he became the Dem candidate by the way. Yet they were swept under the rug for fear of looking like, racists or something. The Constitution be damned.

Sorry about pissing you off, that was not my intent.

Western Washington views do not represent the masses here. I know that. I accept that. I enjoy going back and forth with ya'll in a pleasant fashion and have gone out of my way not to appear like a know-it-all, condescending SOB. Sometimes, in the written word, without facial expressions and body language to back it up (only silly emoticons), we end up pissed off about something when we shouldn't be. I'm pissed off. .....And not because of your views......

The quote? That's not fixed. That's adulterated. Honestly, if you want to make a point, I would humbly request that you do it in your own post and not modify mine, even in quote format. That change, essentially, amounted to an insult.

Whenever I quote someone, I make painstaking efforts to not change a thing....even aberrant punctuation. I will even leave horrible misspellings and sentence structure. If there was a block of information removed before or after I always include a ......... in order to denote the fact that there is more in case the quote ends up misconstrued. Something I am very, very consistant at, because I want people to know that their opinions, to me, are as important as mine are to myself. I expect the same courtesy.

If I am completely off here Marlin, then I flat out apologize. Just so you know where I stand.......Thanks........

Ok John, I'll respectfully disagree that he was vetted. Here's why... There were two certifications from the DNC of proper vetting. The first showed that he was vetted as a Natural Born Citizen. A revised second vetting certificate was submitted with that claim removed. Why?...

See to view a copy of the two certificates.

The fact is that NO ONE wanted to touch his citizenship with a ten-foot pole for fear of being accused as a 'racist' due to the potential African birth.

I wonder why the FIRST Executive Order he signed was to PREVENT the release of his birth certificate? Hmmmmmmm. Wonder why that would be.

Don't ask me for a link. Just google it, you'll find it. It also revoked a previous order that limited the release of documents on former presidents. Hmmmmmm.

    I smell.......................a Kenyan.

Clearly, the truth is not an obstacle for this whole administration. One man accuses him of lying, he (Barry) was lying, but the accuser is vilified.

    SNORT - CHOKE - :D

    Good one -

But honestly, NO ONE is going to remove this guy from office, EVEN IF evidence is produced showing he was not eligable to run.

    1. It would probably trigger a race war.
    2. It would put Biden in office.
    3. If that gave Joe a seizure, it would put Pelosi in office.

NONE of those is a desirable outcome -

IMHO, we need to get off of this as a way to remove him, and concentrate on what he HAS DONE, and IS DOING, ignoring what he claims he WANTS to do.
We need to communicate this to everyone possible, so that NEXT election, we have a more educated bunch heading to the polls.

Am I saying the constitution does not matter?
    Not at all!
But in this particular case, I think the good of the nation would be better served to not take that particular route to correct a very bad mistake made.
