Chicano Flag of Aztlán Raised Over San Diego

by SoN
SanDiego

Two flags of Aztlán are raised in San Diego. Chicano Park was occupied in 1970 and is described as the first liberated part of Aztlan, the American Southwest, ultimately to be united with Mexico.

These flags are modified Mexican flags. Instead of the Mexican Eagle they have insignias of Aztlán. The flag-raising occurs every year on the anniversary of the "liberation" of Chicano Park..

In these times of fiscal crisis, this park recently received a federal grant of $1.6 million to restore murals, which celebrate Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, Ho Chi Minh and various Mexican revolutionaries.

The property belongs to the California Highway Patrol and was approved by the City. Caltrans obtained a federal grant to restore the subversive Chicano-nationalist murals in the park, that celebrate communism and revolution, in general.

A new library of the Aztlan movement is soon to be provided on the property to aid in training young Chicano revolutionaries.

On the plus side, it's good to know where some of the enemies are so we can keep track of them and identify them.

Here's an idea.

Mexico wants CA, NM, AZ and parts of TX back.
I say we give them CA, and tell them to forget NM, AZ, TX or any other part of the USA.
I'm sorry to all you rational northern California residents, but southern CA has been boning you for so long, you must have a fall back plan?
