I am considering changing my stock RSA with a Tungsten set up. I have heard that they can crack a Glock frame because they don't flex like the plastic stock unit which flexes with the gun and also due to triple the weight of the stock RSA. Does anyone have any input on this?

Thanks.

Only experience I have is in my XDM-10. I noticed no difference whatsoever using the tungsten guide rod vs. the stock guide rod.

Sorry for the late post. I have a Glock model 36 (45ACP) as my CCW. I had added the solid guide rod and during my CCW certification trainig I mentioned it to the trainer. His comment was that Glock does not recommend its use for the reasons mentioned earlier. I had used it for quite a while earlier but changed back to the plastic one...just in case.
I have not seen any definative documented evidence one way or another.
