I was sitting here reading the days postings when I get an email from hotwire for purchase of a hotelroom in NYC for this weekend.Call the wife and she tells me we're going.
I guess there's something wrong with me.I drive by accidents without looking or slowing down.Ive seen enough on TV to carry me the rest of my life.I've got really no interest in going to see ground zero. How about the rest of you? (I guess I've got no choice, the rooms been paid for,I just wanta know who's wearing the damn pants in this family anyways?)

You go to ground zero now and it is not ground zero. It is a 6 story hole in the ground, and the "cleanup" is running ahead of schedule. You will pay an admittance fee and be told when you can use the "boardwalk" to view the remains. Why anyone would want to do this is beyond me. Haven't we all seen enough of this terrible distruction as and when it happened?. Yo Clyde, you say bullshit.?? I live 25 airmiles from point of impact. Enough said.

If I were to go Hawaii, I'd certainly want to go to the Arizona Memorial.....not as a tourist, but to pay tribute to those who died on December 7th, 1941.

As for the WTC site....it's too recent. Going to look at a hole in the ground from a recent tragedy seems kind of morbid to me. Perhaps in a few years, when there's a suitable memorial.......

I do not want to see it either. Maybe someday as a memorial. I lived in NY for 5 years or so when I was in the Army and never even went to NY City.

Was in NYC for the Worlds Fair back in the early 60's. Was there almost 2 years ago for training and got taken into the city.

Got no desire to see any of that type of stuff. Nor will I slow down to watch an accident on the side of the road unless there's no one there and the people need help.

Besides NYC is a cesspool most times.

Tac, I did not know you were Royalty. Does the Royal Arse have gold threads intertwined into the dreadlocks?
