I don't understand this stuff? Why does this guy keep bidding against him self?

Nine bids and they are all his own?

brandx and it all just looks more like a scam to me the more I study it. Are they just trolling for suckers or what?

He keeps bidding because he has not met the "reserve price" yet.

I have done this also. Trying to find out the reserve price.

Got to be prepared to buy it if you bid though. Never know you might meet the reserve and be the last bidder.

There are two goobers in this equation. Number one is the goober that lists a $500-plus rifle starting at $150 or whatever with a reserve. Number two is the goober who wastes time with a $200 bid on that rifle.

OK, I'm with ya on the reserve thing now. That makes sense.

I don't see where anyone can waste anyone else's time though even if they upped the bid a penny at a time.

Most of those prices are way over wholesale. I don't see why they think anyone would bother to buy from them at full retail price OR MORE. So nobody has any business I can see getting their nose out of joint over a low ball bid. It's about the ONLY reason to do business with someone you have never met, have to just take their word on the merchandise, and pay shipping and a toll to a local dealer on top.

that's the good thing about auctioning... to find those goobers that get into a bidding war, and when it's over the lucky goober, not only wins... but pays more than RETAIL!
