Hi, I recently was handed down a H&R revolver. I've done some research and it seems to be a New Large Frame Hammerless. However, I took it down to replace the worn hand (lever) and found what appears to be a Small Frame hand and sear (according to Numrich). Can anyone help with ID so I can attempt to find the correct replacement parts? I was hoping to get it back into shooting condition, but I'm afraid that may not happen without a new hand. It's a bit worn and doesn't completely align the cylinder before firing.

Some extra details:

  • 38 CAL S&W CTGE stamped on side
  • (4) patent dates of 5/14 & 8/6/89, 4/2/95, 4/7/96
  • 3" barrel length

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I'Can you read the serial number? I've got the same problem with my H&R,but mines a .22lr, 7 round capacity. However, last gun.I tried to smith on my own, I messed up. So I'll be taking it to my local gunsmith to get fixed. When its done I'll share his thoughts with you .
