The .32 S&W Long and .32 H&R, along with the .32 S&W and the .327 Federal Magnum have the same diameter bullet. The problem you are going to have is the cylinder deigned for the .32 S&W Long and is not rated for .32 H&R which operates at much higher pressure. The .32 H&R is .1.350" in length while the .32 S&W Long is 1.280" in length. Much like a .38 Special, you can fire .38 Specials through a .357 Magnum revolver, but you cannot fire .357 Magnum through a .38 Special revolver because the cases are too long to chamber in the .38 Specials cylinder. You can fire .32 S&W Long through an .32 H&R, but not the other way around. Attempting to fire a .32 H&R through a .32 S&W revolver may result in catastrophic failure.

Thanks for the info yeah I know the bullets are not the same but I have the 32 H&R 733 frame and I was curious to whether not the Magnum 32 Barrel wood screw into that frame where the 32 H&R Smith & Wesson long barrel was and also will the 32 Magnum HR fit into the 733 frame
