I just received a 922 from my father, as he is getting nervous about his surgery. He said was my grandfather's hideout gun at the Bar he used to own. I am curious as to what year manufactured, not so much value.
Serial number on front of grip is B2899. Also, is it my understanding it will shoot long rifle 22's? I usually use hollow points to shoot the nuisance squirrels around my feeders, and occasional porky or possum.

Welcome to the forum, pusheeman. From what I can find in my book, the serial numbers that started with a "B" were made in 1941. BUT - I also see that the Model 922's were manufactured starting in 1952, so I haven't really helped you at all. Maybe someone will come along that has knowledge of this particular pistol.
