Have a 939 with a hammer lock that was missing the lock components which were available from Numrich but they don't seem to fit. Does the part that the key goes in need an O-ring to hold it in place? Does the threaded rod that turns by the key require a sleeve or does it come in more than one diameter?

The brass piece with the key slot is held in with a cross pin through the frame. The Safety Lock Screw, IIRC, was changed from a very coarse spiral "groove" to one with a standard screw thread.
If your revolver frame has the original spiral type thread and the screw you just purchased is a standard thread, you maybe could have a threaded sleeve made to accept the new screw installed in the frame.
