I have been watching this sight for years now and really sorry Bill is no longer with us. Got my name on the list as soon as his book is published...Finally got a gun that I could require a little help with...So far from its owner of over 40 years in south Texas....is claimed to have been own by an agent of US Express company and carried while escorting payroll until the company was purchased by Wells, Fargo company..(writing them to see when this happen) There was documentation to this effect, but no longer could be found The gun (hope pictures worked) is a 38 hammer-less with the date 1897 scratched on the inside of both grips. and as the picture shows the serial number 87097 which match on the rest of the gun....any information would be helpful
