    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Greetings. I found a H&R model 922 revolver while cleaning my grandfather's house for an estate sale. I do not want to sell the gun, but I am interested in it's history. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    The patent number is 1904730

    Thanks,

Patent number wont help. Describe the barrel (length and configuration) and the grips.

I am assuming there is no letter prefix to the serial number. Looks pre-1940 to me.

there are no letters in the serial number. just six numbers starting with 163.
