I have a H&R Model 999 .22, and I would like to put a scope on it for hunting. Is it possible with the break-action? Also, any tips for accurizing it? Any help appreciated.

the trouble is most likely going to be mounts. back in the 1980 one of the gun writers for guns world magazine mounted a scope on a model 939 with factory ventilated rib, using claw type mounts. the rib was not secure enough to hols scope and came apart. i would thing mounting a scope on a M999 could be done but not with over the counter parts.

Hmm... Ok, thanks for the reply. I will take it to a gunsmith and see what he can do with it.
