Welcome to TFF but sadly, H&R expert Jim Hauff passed away recently.
Your gun appears to be a shorter barrel .38 version of this one Jim identified as a 3rd model "Automatic":

But odd that it's not marked with the H&R address on barrel rib, and wonder if it's been refinished.
