I would like to visit with a person that is knowledgeable about the H&R Sportsman , single action revolver, S/N S15071, when it was made, anyone have a parts diagram, I need cylinder lock up mechanism. Don't even know for sure if new style 999 sportsman part might work. Anyone?

It is one of the older Sportsmans since it is single action and has an "S" in the serial numbers. Would technically be a model 199, 1st Variation - but we would need pictures of the entire gun, including muzzle, patent date(s) on cylinder, and to know if the firing pin is on the hammer or in the receiver.

The 999 cylinder stop will likely work. But there is a (1) pin and a (2) pin type - you would have to know which your gun uses.

    Item# 7 = (2) pin type
    Item# 10 = (1) pint type

    Model 199 Sportsman, 2nd or 3rd Variation - made between May' 33 to 12/31/36.

The schematic at Numrich for the 999 Sportsman is probably about as close as you will get.
