I just picked up a second H&R top break (older black powder era) and I need to repalce some springs. Those are easy enough to find. Part of the extractor mechanism seems to be missing. Nothing egages the hook when you tilt the barrel. In comparing the guns, I see what is missing, I just dont know the name so I can order a new one.

It looks like part number#40.Take a look and see what you think.It has a hook that is attach to the large round circle.

Could it be called; Hook With/slide cut?

Looks like the lever is broken. You'll need to provide exact info for the model for help finding the part.

These are just another variation of H&R "Hook & Slide" combinations. The picture shows the relationship of each part. The small spring is inserted in the hole seen in your picture. (it may need trimming to adjust the tension). Then the "slide" is inserted in the hole and held there under tension while the "hook" and barrel are pushed against the slide and the pivot screw is installed.
