That's why I like my homemade stands that use pins through them.

I had a set of 4 of the 6 ton HF jack stands a few years ago, but they were not in the recall range. I have pretty much given up on HF for tools any way. When they sell Poorly Made Chinese tools that do not last and need to be replaced often, and at higher Prices than I can get the same thing of higher quality and cheaper at Walmart.

I normally don't use Harbor Freight but I did buy a miter saw stand that is excellent for the money and also a Franklin super jaws work station that I am quite happy with. Tools I am Leary about but have considered buying a sander to use to sharpen my axes and some garden tools, but still haven't pulled the trigger. I did clean them out on the 18" magnetic tool bars that I used to organize my shovels and saws and other stuff at @ $2.99 with coupon not bad magnets.

I've got a couple sets, have been using them for years, will have to check numbers on them.

I use them also but never use any jack stands by themselves, I keep the jack under the car.

Hate that when it happens. Had my pick up jacked the other day to change the oil and of course had the jack blocking me. had to lower it and rejack. Lucky i have a Harbor Freight rapid jack. not so hard to jack.:)
