Heading to Texas today!

    Going back to Austin to see my friends, listen to some music and enjoy some sunshine!

    Are you in Texas? I got a note from my hotel that said it would be
    sunny and hot for the time that I'm there....
    it's been raining up here for a week too!

    hmmmm.... Just gotta make some sunshine!

    believe me, lori, it IS hot and sunny in texas. highs are already up to 105* in some parts of the state. it is only a cool(?) 90* in se texas where i am. have fun on your visit to the REPUBLIC OF TEXAS.

    I remember back in 2001 when I first moved to Texas and it was 114.
    I waited to unpack my trailer at midnight when it cooled off to 99!

    90 is a cold front down there, isn't it??? :D

    I just can't wait to see my old friends and my old bands and have some fun!

    I found a great version of Gary P. Nunn and the Lost Gonzo Band playing "London Homesick Blues" at Willie's 2nd annual 4 of July birthday picnic that I was going to post to kick start your trip home, but a little female over exuberance at the end of the video blew that idea. :rolleyes: :D

    Anyhow, I hope you have a great trip. ;) :)

    Thank you! I just finished packing my suitcase....I don't have to leave my house til around 11 soooo.... the clock is going soooo slow right now!

    I'll post my pics on my facebook page when I get home! I know how ya feel Art.... I miss it too.... I think that's why I keep going back for visits....
    if I ever get to sell this house I'm thinking I might move back there....

    One of my friends told me about a brew fest going on at Waterloo park this weekend....so I'm thinking I might be popping over there too! :D

    I'll be taking a day trip up toward Dublin tomorrow to see an old friend. He said it was raining alot but yesterday it cleared up a little.

    And yep, mrkirker....Texas IS habit forming! :D
