I'm pretty lucky, if there is money in the budget and it's something I want, she doesn't mind.
I just show up with whatever I want, she has no idea what I have.
I'm the same way - no ask, no tell!!
Your first mistake was ever mentioning it to her! Just buy it, and sneak it in when's she's not home like the rest of us!
Put your foot down, tell her she can no longer buy anymore shoes until ALL of them are worn out.
It's already sitting in my safe.
Do what I do ask for forgiveness not for permission
Ok it is now Oct let’s hear all about the barbecue! Did the wife accompany you? Did she carry the new Colt and leave you with an RG?
Oh, but you Champions of Men among men....the courage and fortitude you have
noted about dealing with your 'Main Squeeze'.....hide things from the wife actually
caused me to snicker...that's not a candy bar...that's a giggle when I hear a
thing as comical as an uninformed wife... She can detect that little hesitation in
your suddenly, squeky sounding delivery...the way you swallow that suspected feeling
lump in your throat....you turn to run water on in the kitchen sink over those dishes
you've not done yet and the sound of the running water suddenly makes you feel
your bladder needs emptying....."what's the matter Honey...don't you feel good
this morning...you're sweating profusely....now, run to the toilet and you can tell
me later what surprize you've got for me again later"! I rest my case! Chief
Unfortunately the TFF BBQ got canceled this year. I took it to a good outdoor range to try it out but left the mags at home. The next weekend I took it to the indoor range and love it. Very accurate.
My problem is she handles the money. When we were young we didn't have a lot of cash. I had 6 kids to raise so my gun budget was limited to nothing. The kids have been grown up and my youngest is now 27.
I am on to my next gun. I want a Remington 1100 competition. shotgun. I know this will be the last gun I will ever buy.
(it's hard to find a good .gif of a pig flying...)
Wow that was anticlimactic! I was all set for photos of one hole groups and pearl grips and stuff
You won't see any one hole groups out this half blind old guy. I did manage this with it.
That's about as good as I can ever get.
I did this the same day with my Ruger 1911 cmd in 45 acp. This pistol has always been very accurate. I have been thinking about getting Woodnut from C W Grips to make me a GVW3 set of grips for one of them but no pearl.
I wouldn't be complaining about those targets.
When I buy a 1911 (will happen here soon) that'll be the first person I go to.
