Would appreciate help identifying a US marked tool & it's use. Found in an old bureau drawer. Asked a buddy who served in the Army. He wasn't sure, I guess as we get close to the 80 mark our memory tends to decline.

I have a couple of them laying around here somewhere. Bad thing is, I can't remember if it is used on the M1 Garand or the M1 Carbine bolt.

Trigger guard screws and that teeny-tiny screw in the magazine cutoff. Never did know what the rod-like bit was for, but suspect it's probably for depressing the floorplate catch on the '03. I've used the tool on my 1911A1 - perfect fit for the grip screws, the mag relaease screw, and the rod-like bit for pushing out the mainspring housing pin.
