I picked up an Imperial Knife at the gun show this past weekend for $10. On the tang it's stamped Imperial, Irland, staninless, and has the NRA logo. It has the Hammer logo on the handle above the name Imperial. Handle is of black composition, not sure what it is exactly. Any help with a date for this knife would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I've seen a couple on ebay for up to $30, but no dates on any of them. So far all I've found is Imperial knives produced under the "Hammer brand" by the tang stamp that bears the name as well as the image of a muscled arm bearing a hammer. These knives were produced between 1936 and 1955. The Hammer brand on my knife is on the handle, not on the tang.
