    Brand new to this site just trying to get some help identifying the year my S&W 380 was made, its an older gun just bought it real cheap and im curious. Serial number is RAE9xxx any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    You've got me confused.

    380? Automatic? S&W auto with multi-letter prefixes start with T, not R.

    Revolver? 380 revolver?

    Definitely need pictures.

    Might be a British (or Belgian copy) revolver in .38 S&W (UK designation .38/200 or .380/200 Mk I & II)?
